Spent $150 on a fancy coffee grinder and it saved my morning routine

I was using a cheap blade grinder for years and getting bitter coffee every single day. Last month I finally bought a burr grinder from a local shop for $150, and the difference is huge. My coffee tastes smooth now, not harsh, and I actually look forward to waking up. Has anyone else made a switch like this and noticed it changing how they drink coffee?

my coffee tastes smooth now" is the part that gets me. I had the same exact thing happen and now I can't go back.

Nora nailed it. Once you get that first cup that doesn't leave that bitter coating on your tongue, there's really NO going back. I remember thinking I was just one of those people who didn't like coffee that much, but it was my grinder all along. The whole morning feels different now, like I actually have a moment to breathe before the day starts. It's wild how something so simple can change your entire routine and mood. That $150 is basically an investment in not hating mornings anymore.

Right? That first smooth cup is a game changer. I was the same way, thought I just had a sensitive stomach until I got a good grinder and realized it was the bitterness making me feel sick in the morning. Wild how something so small changes your whole day.
