My niece asked why we call it 'regular coffee' when there's so many kinds now
I was making a pot of my usual dark roast for a family breakfast last Sunday, and she just looked at the bag and asked that. It made me think about how, back in the 90s, 'regular' just meant drip coffee from a can at the diner. Now we have pour overs, cold brews, and single origins from places like Yirgacheffe. I guess my 'regular' is just my own personal comfort zone. What's the one coffee method you tried that actually changed your daily routine for good?

French press ruined drip coffee for me.

Honestly, what kind of beans do you use in your press? My cheap drip machine just makes everything taste burnt now.

I get what Sarah means but I still use my drip machine most mornings. It's just faster and easier when I'm half asleep.
