Spent $800 on a basement waterproofing system 2 years ago and now I'm finding mold behind the drywall anyway
The company said their interior drain tile and sump pump would handle everything in my Tremont house, but after this spring's heavy rain I'm getting musty smells and peeling paint near the floor, has anyone else had issues with these systems not actually stopping moisture from the walls?

Felt that pain deep in my wallet and my soul (and my sinuses, apparently). Installed a fancy French drain system last year and now my socks get damp just walking past the wall. Guess the water just laughed at my $800 and decided to come say hi through the concrete anyway. Hope you find a fix that doesn't involve setting your house on fire and collecting the insurance.

And funny you mention that musty smell because I had a similar thing happen with my garage last year after a wet spring. I went through three different dehumidifiers before giving up and just leaving the door cracked open on dry days. Sometimes I think water finds a way no matter what you throw at it, like it has a personal vendetta against drywall.
