My phone screen shattered at the grocery store checkout and I finally got why people use screen protectors
I was at the Kroger on 5th street in Portland last Tuesday, dropped my phone from like waist height onto the tile floor, and the whole screen spiderwebbed. I used to think screen protectors were a waste of $15 but now I'm kicking myself for being cheap. Has anyone else had a stubborn moment like that where your phone got wrecked and you instantly changed your mind?

Dropped my iPhone 13 at a Trader Joe's once and the screen went black instantly. I had the same smug attitude about protectors until that $300 repair bill hit. Lesson learned the hard way, you're not alone.

Actually it's $279 for a 13 screen repair. Not a huge deal though.
