I finally asked a stranger about his dog's name at the park
The guy was walking this huge, fluffy Samoyed, and I just said 'That's a happy looking dog, what's his name?' We ended up talking for twenty minutes about how he got the dog after his wife passed away. It made me realize how a simple question can open up a whole story you'd never expect. What's the best chat you've ever started with a stranger?

Honestly those chats feel forced and I usually just keep to myself.

Ugh, totally feel that @hart.sage. It's like when you're in a waiting room and someone tries to make small talk about the weather. You can just feel the script everyone is reading from. I get that way at big family things, where you're just asking about jobs and traffic because you have to fill the silence. Makes hiding in your phone feel like the better choice every time.
