After a stubborn hallway job, I'm convinced a knee kicker is still better than a power stretcher for tight spaces

Everyone says to always use a power stretcher, but on a narrow 4-foot hallway in an old building last Tuesday, the knee kicker let me get perfect tension right up to the baseboard. The power stretcher just couldn't get the right angle without damaging the wall. Has anyone else found a place where the old-school tool still wins?

Totally get that! It's like how sometimes the simple tool just fits the job better. I still reach for a regular screwdriver over a power drill for little stuff all the time.

Right tool for the right job, always. Do you find yourself defaulting to the simpler option even when the fancy one is right there?

How often do we grab the fancy tool just because it's new? I used to think more features meant better results every single time. But I've wasted so much time setting up complicated stuff when a basic option would have worked in two seconds. Now I actually stop and ask if the simple way is truly worse, and it almost never is. That shift has saved me a ton of hassle.
