Found out my nail gun was misfiring because of humidity
I was framing a deck in Seattle last Tuesday and my framing nailer kept leaving proud nails. Turns out the compressed air had moisture buildup from the damp weather, which I never even thought about. Anyone else run into this with their pneumatic tools in wet climates?

Happened to me last year with my brad nailer during a rainy spring. Ended up having to drain the compressor every 20 minutes just to get clean nails.

Drained mine every half hour doing trim work last fall. Drove me nuts.

Rember having to do that with my pancake compressor during a big fencing job a couple summers back. Every 20 minutes I'd stop, drain it, then get back to it. Got so bad I started timing my breaks around when the thing needed draining. Ended up buying one of those auto drain kits online and it saved my sanity. Best money I spent that year honestly.
