I stopped asking for a raise and started tracking my wins instead

My boss always said no to more money until I brought a list of specific projects I finished and the money they saved. I showed him a $15,000 cost reduction from a new supply vendor I found. Do you think showing proof works better than just asking?

What if you also tracked the time you saved the company from future problems? Like showing how your work stopped a big mistake before it cost money. That proof of risk prevention can be just as strong as the savings you already showed.

Proof of risk prevention" sounds like corporate speak for covering your own butt. But yeah, showing you stopped a fire is a solid move. Bosses love seeing problems that never happened.

Heard my friend saved their team six figures by catching a data leak early.
