Appreciation post: the 30 day cover letter experiment I tried after a 2 AM shift
I used to think cover letters were pure filler, just a formality nobody reads. After a stretch of night shifts in late March, I got sick of sending the same generic one and not hearing back. So I spent 30 days rewriting mine from scratch for each job, max 150 words, focused on one specific problem I solved at my last clinic. I got 4 interviews out of 14 applications, which is way better than my usual 0 out of 10. The trick was starting with a direct line like 'Your posting mentioned EPIC training gaps, here is how I fixed that in 3 weeks.' Anyone else tried a structured approach like this, or am I the only one geeking out over templates?
