Honestly, I think the push for all-in-one banking apps is missing the point
Tbh, I tried using one of those new Toronto-based platforms that does checking, investing, and budgeting all together. Last week, their system had a glitch and double-counted a $500 transfer, throwing my whole budget off for two days. I had to call support three times before they even saw the problem. It felt like they focused on adding features instead of making the basic stuff work right. Has anyone else had a core feature just fail on them with a newer startup?

Two days of a messed up budget sounds annoying, but was it really that bad? A lot of the old banks have system outages that lock you out completely. At least you could still see your money, even if the number was wrong.

Seeing wrong numbers is still stressful though, @lunaf67. It throws off your whole plan.

Oh man, I get it now. I used to brush off stuff like wrong numbers showing up, figuring it was just a visual bug. But last month my rent payment almost bounced because the app showed I had more than I really did. It makes you second-guess every single thing you're about to buy... you can't trust your own budget. That stress is way worse than the bank just being down for a bit.

I just took a screenshot of my balance before the glitch so I had a real number to work from.
