I gave up on my fancy camp coffee maker after one too many long waits.
I mean, idk about you, but I can't stand gear that eats up all your time when you're supposed to be relaxing. Take my old camp coffee maker, for instance. It had all these parts and needed a certain heat level. Whenever I used it, I'd be stuck waiting for like twenty minutes just for a cup. That's time I could have spent on a trail or just enjoying the quiet. Maybe it's just me, but I switched to a basic French press and it's way better. Seriously, if your gear makes you wait too long, what's the point?

Yeah, that twenty-minute wait made me ditch my fancy one too.

Actually took closer to thirty minutes @the_william. Long enough for sure.

Thirty minutes is brutal. I once waited so long for my coffee that I fell back asleep. Woke up to a cold cup and a confused dog staring at me. I guess I'm not cut out for fancy gadgets if they test my patience that much.
