I finally fixed a drawer that's been sticky for 2 years

Had a kitchen vanity drawer that would bind halfway out no matter what I tried. Turned out the bottom was slightly warped from humidity and I just shaved 1/8 inch off the back edge with a block plane now it glides smooth as butter. Anyone else find random fixes that take way longer than they should?

Had a bathroom fan that rattled for a year. Was a loose screw the whole time.

You know what's worse? My garage door opener remote stopped working. Took me a solid six months before I realized the batteries were just dead. Replaced them and bam, worked perfectly. Felt like the biggest idiot alive.

Oh man, the stuff we put off for years. I had a closet door that wouldn't close properly for like three years. Turns out one of the hinges was just a quarter turn loose. I fixed it in ten seconds and felt like an absolute fool.
