Guy who's been building cabinets 30 years told me to stop pre-drilling hinges
He grabbed a scrap door at the lumber yard in Dayton last Friday and drove a screw straight in, said my pilot holes were slowing me down and splitting less than I thought. Now I'm second guessing 12 years of habit, has anyone else been talked out of a step they swore by?
