Can we talk about the day your best client just ghosted you?

Had a call scheduled with my biggest account, a restaurant chain in Austin, to finalize a $15k quarterly retainer. Waited on Zoom for 20 minutes, sent three emails, got nothing back. What do you even do when your top revenue stream just vanishes without a word?

Man, that's brutal. Did you have any kind of personal relationship with the main contact there, or was it all just business emails? Makes me wonder if something happened on their end, like a sudden change in management.

Yeah, the part about a sudden change in management really hits home. I mean, we had a good back-and-forth going with our main guy for over a year, like actual phone calls sometimes. Then he just vanished and the new person who took over had zero clue about our project. It all just went cold after that. Makes you feel like all that work building a connection was for nothing.

Honestly though, that's just how business goes sometimes. People move on or get shifted around, it's not personal. Maybe the new person was just thrown into the fire and doing their best. Could have been a chance to bring them up to speed and build a fresh connection.
