I just filled my 500th page and it hit me different

I started this notebook in 2020, just scribbling tasks and feelings. Yesterday I flipped to a fresh page and saw the old page number I'd written in the corner. It was 500. I always thought I'd just get a new book when one got full, but seeing that number made me stop. It's four years of my life in one place, the good and bad days all mixed together. Has anyone else felt weirdly proud of a simple page count?

My old work logs never felt that way until now.

I read a blog post last week about how our view of old work changes over time. The writer said looking back at old project notes can feel like reading a stranger's diary. You see the stress in your own shorthand or a rushed note about a problem that felt huge then. Now it's just a solved thing from the past, and that shift is really strange.

Yeah, that shift hits hard. What changed for you? Was it a specific project or just time passing? @blair_webb's point about seeing the old stress as a solved thing really clicks. I get that feeling of the problem being huge back then and small now. It makes me wonder what my current notes will look like in five years.
