Appreciation post: My neighborhood's new walking path inspired a fitness log in my bullet journal
I mean, idk, maybe it's just me but mapping out my weekly walks next to my daily tasks makes sticking to it way easier.

Wait, calling it just a fitness log sells it short. That's a whole tracking system you built. Like, you linked the habit directly to your existing tasks. That's smart. I used to just have "go walk" on a list and it never worked. Putting the route map right there with my chores makes it feel like part of the day, not an extra thing.

Why did we all act like exercise had to be its own separate production? I used to put on full workout clothes just to walk around the block like it was a big event. Now I'm just lacing up my shoes to get milk and accidentally getting my steps in. It feels so obvious once you stop treating your own body like another appointment on the calendar. We really know how to turn simple things into a whole project.

Honestly used to keep my walks and daily tasks totally separate too. Would finish my chores then dread having to "add" exercise after. Seeing the route map next to picking up groceries makes it one job instead of two. This really flips it from being an annoying extra step to just the way you get stuff done. Kind of mad I didn't try linking them together years ago.

Exactly though, that's the whole trick. @anthony129 nailed it - tying the route map to the chores makes it feel like one action instead of a whole separate workout you have to psych yourself up for.
