My mom told me to track every coffee for a month and the total shocked me

She said to just write down each one, no judgment. After 30 days, I added it up and I'd spent $127 at the cafe near my office. I started making a big pot at home and bringing a thermos, saving about $100 a month. Has anyone else cut a small habit and been surprised by the savings?

Yeah, that really adds up fast.

Stare at a yearly total like that and it changes your whole view. You stop seeing a three dollar coffee and start seeing a thousand dollar habit. Makes you question every little purchase, right? Like, is this snack worth what it adds to the pile? Once you see the math, you can't unsee it. That number just sits there in the back of your mind.

Wow, that's a huge difference! Honestly, it makes me wonder about the other small daily buys. Did seeing that total number change how you feel about spending on other little things, like grabbing a snack or lunch out too? Like, once you see it all added up, it's hard to ignore.
