My barber Marco asked what I do with my tax refund and I felt dumb saying nothing
Got a haircut at Marco's on 5th last month and he asked what I was doing with my tax refund. I said I had no plan, and he said he puts half of his straight into a savings account he does not touch and uses the other half for bills. That made me sit down and actually split my $1,400 refund instead of letting it melt into random spending. Anyone have a system for what to do with a refund when you usually blow it?
Sat in a parking lot for like 30 minutes once doing the math on my refund while my groceries got warm in the back seat. My uncle used to say he'd cash his check and stick the whole thing in an envelope labeled "do not open till the tire blows" and honestly that worked better than any app I've tried. The problem is I always find a tire that needs blowing, you know. Last year I blew mine on a used smoker and a bunch of meat, so at least the family ate good for a month. Your split sounds smarter than whatever I've been doing, might copy that half and half thing next April.
