Hit a 6 month emergency fund goal last week

Been throwing extra cash at savings since January. Finally crossed the $4,500 mark for my 6 month rainy day fund. Did it by meal prepping Sundays and cutting out delivery coffee. Anyone else celebrate these small milestones with a small treat?

Hell yeah, congrats on hitting that $4,500 mark. I did the same thing last year and it felt huge. I cut out eating lunch out every day and started bringing leftovers from dinner. That alone saved me like $80 a month. I celebrated by buying myself a nice new pair of running shoes, which was way cheaper than all the takeout I used to buy. It's crazy how those little daily habits add up so fast. Keep it going, you're on the right track.

And those shoes probably last way longer than a month of lunches too...

Yeah, that "little daily habits add up so fast" part is real. I had a buddy who started doing the same thing with his lunch money and he ended up saving almost a grand in six months without even thinking about it. He told me the first month felt weird but after that it was just normal. @carter.casey you're spot on about the shoes too, he bought a bike with his savings and now he rides to work. It's wild how one small change just snowballs into way bigger stuff.
