My brother-in-law told me I was watching shows wrong

He caught me skipping the opening credits and said I was missing half the mood-setting. Now I let the credits roll every time and it actually makes the show feel more complete has anyone else gotten grief over how they watch something?

Yeah, "missing half the mood-setting" really got me thinking. I used to skip credits too, but now I just let them roll while I do something else like check my phone or grab a drink. It's funny how the pacing changes if you sit through them versus jumping right into the next episode. My buddy got roasted for fast forwarding through the recaps on streaming shows, and now he watches every single one like it's a religious ritual. People get weirdly protective over how you consume their favorite media, like there's a right way to do it or something.

Oh man, my buddy got roasted for pausing to read all the end credits.

Why does it matter if someone wants to sit through the credits? It's not hurting anyone, and they might just want to see who worked on the movie or catch some extra scenes. Let the guy read his credits in peace, it's weird to make fun of someone for that.
