Switched from wet lube to wax for chain maintenance in Seattle

I ran wet lube for years and had to clean my drivetrain every 200 miles in this rain. A guy at a local shop recommended wax and now I go 500 miles before the chain even looks dirty. Anyone else find wax holds up way better in wet climates?

Hell yeah. Wax is the secret weapon for PNW riding. I do a quick hot wax dip every 300 miles and my cassette still looks new. Just make sure you degrease the chain completely first or it'll peel off in a week.

Toddler arts and crafts with candle drippings" lmao that's literally me every time I try anything maintenance related. My first wax job looked like a sad melted birthday cake. But yeah it's worth the struggle once you get it right.

Man my first wax job looked like a toddler did arts and crafts with candle drippings. Had to redo it twice before I realized you need the chain squeaky clean or it just flakes off like bad dandruff. Now I swear by it though. I can actually ride through a puddle without hearing that gross grinding noise.
