Has the rewiring affected the light's vintage charm at all? I always worry that modern components might strip away some of that old-world character, even if they prevent shocks like @blair_park mentioned. What's your take on balancing safety with authenticity?

Honestly, this is just how everything goes now. We fix the old stuff with new parts to keep it safe and working, but it never feels exactly the same. The trick is knowing what changes are worth it.
