Swore I'd never weigh flour until my third batch of cookies spread into one giant sheet
I used to scoop flour straight from the bag with a measuring cup, and my chocolate chip cookies kept turning into flat pancake blobs every time I baked them for my sister's birthday in March. Then a buddy who works at a bakery in Austin told me scooping packs in almost 25% more flour than a scale does, so I bought a $12 kitchen scale and my last six batches have come out thick and chewy. Does anyone else find the scale thing fussy at first, or is it just me fighting the urge to eyeball it?
