That time the projector died 20 minutes into The Room at my place

Hosted a bad movie night back in 2019 and my old Epson bulb just gave out right as Tommy Wiseau was throwing that football. Ended up gathering everyone around my 13 inch laptop screen for the rest of the movie, which honestly made the bad acting feel even more intimate. Anyone else have a viewing party fall apart on them mid-movie?

That football scene on a 13 inch screen sounds oddly perfect though, was the audio still working from the projector?

Oddly perfect" is exactly right. @seanjackson you nailed it. Audio was dead silent from the projector. Had to press my ear against the laptop speaker just to hear the announcer. Looked so weird to everyone passing by. Like I was trying to smell the screen or something. Probably looked like a total weirdo but hey, no regrets.

Had to do that exact thing with my old laptop once. Watched a whole game with my face two inches from the speaker. Headphones were dead and I refused to miss the kickoff. People in the coffee shop definitely gave me weird looks. But it was totally worth it for those last minute plays.
