Sat through The Room last night and the projector broke 20 minutes in
Hosted a bad movie night at my place in Austin and the old projector gave out right as Tommy Wiseau started his first weird scene. We ended up watching the rest on a laptop with tinny speakers, which ruined the whole vibe. Has anyone else had their viewing setup fail mid-movie and what did you use as a backup?

Oh man that sucks so bad. I used to think a laptop with tiny speakers was fine for a backup but after my own projector died halfway through Troll 2 I realized how much it kills the whole mood. Now I keep a decent bluetooth speaker charged and ready for situations like that. The difference between watching a bad movie on a good setup versus a tinny laptop is night and day.

Troll 2 came out way before laptops had speakers at all.

Wait, did you actually sit through Troll 2 without sound? That's rough. I had a buddy who thought he was being smart and used his laptop as a backup for a backyard movie night. His projector died right as the first jump scare in The Conjuring hit, and that tinny laptop sound just killed every quiet moment. Everyone was laughing at the scary parts because it sounded like a toy. He finally caved and bought a decent speaker after that, and now he swears by it too. How's that bluetooth speaker holding up for you?
