Watching a pair of cardinals at my feeder this morning made me realize most people don't know they eat seeds shell and all.

I see folks online saying they only eat the kernel, but I watched the male at my feeder in Cincinnati crush and swallow whole sunflower seeds for 20 minutes straight, so what other bird facts do we have wrong?
