Question about choosing between the Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail for a first thru-hike
I had to pick between the AT and PCT back in 2019 for my first long hike, went with the AT because it was closer to home, and 4 months later I was soaked, hungry, and loving every mile of it but wondering if the PCT's dry heat would have wrecked me less has anyone else started on one trail and wished they'd picked the other?
Got halfway up Katahunk thinking I was living my best life, then my tent flooded on day 3 and I realized wet sneakers are just a bad life choice I keep making over and over.
