Walked past my old bank branch in Springfield and it's just a coffee shop now.
I remember going there with my dad to deposit checks, the whole place felt serious with marble counters. Now it's all exposed brick and people on laptops. Made me think about how we used to actually talk to tellers about savings accounts. Anyone else see their local bank turn into something totally different?

That part about places holding more weight is exactly it. It's not just banks. Everything built to last feels temporary now. My old video store is a cell phone repair place, the hardware store is a smoothie shop. These were spots you went to for a real thing, not just an experience. Now it's all about quick turnover and vibe. Makes the whole town feel like a stage set that gets changed every few years.

Yeah @jana_hart18, the lollipop thing hits. It's all just apps now. My bank's a gym. Feels strange, like those old places held more weight. You don't get that feeling from a latte or a treadmill. Just feels like we lost a bit of the neighborhood.

Oh man, same thing here. The old brick bank on my corner is a fancy pet groomer now. I used to get a lollipop from the teller as a kid. It's weird to see dogs going in instead.
