My uncle's old Ford pickup had a weird smell for years. We finally found a whole nest of acorns packed into the airbox when the heater stopped working. I always thought that stuff was just a joke before that.

Oh man, that's not a joke at all. Those little guys will pack an airbox full of nuts and junk in no time.

Yeah, the part about the heater stopping working because of it is so real. I read a story once where a guy's car kept overheating and it turned out to be a huge mouse nest built right against the radiator. They're not just hiding in air boxes, they'll get into any warm spot they can find. Makes you want to check your own car now, doesn't it? It's crazy how much damage a tiny animal can do without you even knowing.
