It took me 3 years to realize I had been processing my astro photos in the wrong color space the whole time

I finally figured out why my nebula shots always looked washed out compared to everyone else's. A comment on a forum post about color calibration settings tipped me off that I was working in sRGB instead of Adobe RGB the entire time. Has anyone else had a basic setting trip them up for way too long?

THREE YEARS? Man that is absolutely brutal. I would have lost my MIND if I went that long wondering why my images looked like garbage for no good reason. At least you finally cracked the code, better late than NEVER I guess.

At least I'm not the only one with a loose filter like @patricialee (mine was brain cells).

Three years" is nothing, I shot a whole season with a loose filter and never noticed.
