Hit 1000 upvotes on a single photo of Orion last night and it totally changed my mind about posting here

Ngl I used to think sharing my phone pics was pointless since everyone has a $3000 telescope setup. But that nebula shot from my backyard in Ohio got way more traction than I expected, made me realize people just like seeing space however they can. Has anyone else had a random photo blow up when you least expected it?

Did my blurry moon pic really get 200 likes or was my phone just that shook?

My uncle tried to take a picture of the northern lights once and his phone screen just showed a black square with one green dot. He swore it was a UFO encounter for like two years. Sometimes phone cameras have their own agenda, I guess.

Honestly, that reminds me of when I tried to take a video of a meteor shower a few years back. Drove an hour out to some dark field, set my phone up on a rock, and the whole thing came out looking like a blurry green stain with a few white specks. My buddy @leodavis still teases me about it, says I captured a "haunted glow stick." Phone cameras really do have a mind of their own sometimes, especially at night. Makes you wonder if all those blurry UFO photos from the 90s were just people with bad cell service and old phones.
