I thought those 'ask anything' forums were full of nonsense until I posted about my broken sink

My kitchen faucet started leaking last month and I was sure the online advice would be useless. Someone told me to check the cartridge and replace a specific O-ring, which sounded too simple. I bought the part for $4 at the hardware store and fixed it in 20 minutes. Now I'm wondering what other basic fixes I've been overcomplicating. Has anyone else had a home repair question answered perfectly in a place like this?

My car had a weird clicking sound for weeks. A forum post said to check the cabin air filter behind the glove box. It was packed with leaves, just like @the_xena said about finding those fixes. Cleared it out and the noise stopped completely.

The internet's full of those little miracle fixes if you know where to look!

My friend fixed his washing machine with a YouTube video about a loose coin.
