My trip to the chiropractor got me looking at log lifting again

I tweaked my back moving a heavy branch without thinking. Since then, I've been paying more attention to my form, and it's made a big difference.

Paying attention to form is a game changer, and it's cool how one tweak can make you see all your movement differently. That focus on bracing and alignment totally translates from lifting logs to just grabbing stuff off the ground. It's like building a habit of moving with purpose instead of just muscle. After a while, that good form starts to feel automatic, which is the best way to keep your back safe.

That one bad lift made me a form believer for life.

My cousin is a carpenter, and he showed me how to lift plywood without hurting my back. I mean, it's all about that bracing thing you mentioned. Now I catch myself doing it when I'm grabbing groceries from the car, idk. Maybe it's just me, but once you feel that difference, it's hard to go back to slouching around. It really does become automatic after a while.
