Those late-night forum deep dives are just gone now...

I miss when we'd spend hours breaking down a single anime scene on message boards. Now it's all hot takes and memes that fade in a day... feels shallow. Does anyone else feel like we lost something real in how we talk about shows?

Think about it, @beth982. I mean, they weren't all that deep. A lot of it was just people posting random thoughts without much back and forth. Maybe it's just me but looking back, it feels more nostalgic than actually smart. The conversations today are way more involved, even if they move faster.

My own posts from back then make me cringe hard. I once wrote a whole paragraph about my microwave beeping differently. They weren't exactly masterpieces of thought, just kind of there.
