Unpopular opinion: I wasted $60 on a fancy leather journal and it was a total flop
Bought a handmade leather journal from a local maker in Portland for $60, thinking it'd level up my daily journaling. But the paper bleeds with my favorite fountain pen ink, and now I just use a $3 composition notebook instead. Anyone else regret splurging on something that looked nice but failed in function?

Used to be a total sucker for fancy notebooks and thought they were the secret to becoming a serious writer. Found a leather bound one with a ribbon bookmark for like $50 and same thing happened - my gel pen bled through every page. Ended up keeping it on a shelf for a year before tossing it. You got me rethinking my whole approach, honestly.

@river_allen yeah, notebooks are overrated. Just grab a spiral.
