I thought my old pocket notebook was fine, but switching to a leather-bound journal with 120gsm paper made my daily writing feel like an actual event instead of a chore.
After filling the new journal for about six months, I noticed my entries went from quick bullet points to full pages of thoughts and little sketches, probably because the nicer materials made me want to slow down and actually enjoy the process, you know? Anyone else have a simple tool upgrade that totally changed how you approach your hobby?

Ever think the nicer tool makes you feel like your thoughts are worth more space? My cheap spiral notebook felt like a trash can for ideas, but a good pen and thick paper made me treat my own words with real respect. It's not about being fancy, it's about giving your own mind a decent place to live.

Totally get that. My first "nice" notebook was a gift and I was scared to write in it for months, like my grocery lists weren't worthy. @vera514, I ruined my Moleskine's first page with a bad pen that bled, and it felt like a crime. Now I buy the cheap ones to draft the messy stuff, and save the good paper for when my thoughts finally make sense. It's like having a backstage and a main stage for my brain.

My old Moleskine changed everything, @barbarah19.
