Warning: don't cook frozen chicken wings straight from the bag in your air fryer

Last Saturday I made the mistake of tossing a whole bag of frozen wings into my air fryer at 400 degrees. Big mistake. After 10 minutes they looked okay on the outside but when I bit into one the inside was still cold and raw. I ended up having to throw the whole batch away because I couldn't get them cooked evenly without burning the skin. Turns out you really gotta thaw them first or at least do a lower temp for longer. Now I always parboil them for 5 minutes before air frying. Has anyone else had this problem with frozen meat in their air fryer?

Parboiling first is genius, I'm totally trying that next time.

Parboiling just makes them waterlogged and ruins the texture completely.

Is it just me or does this apply to everything nowadays? Like we all want shortcuts but half the time the shortcut just makes you redo the whole thing. I tried microwaving rice once instead of waiting for the pot to boil and ended up with this weird crunchy mush situation. Or when I try to save time by not preheating the oven and then my cookies come out flat and sad. Sometimes you just gotta accept that the extra step is part of the process lol. Frozen wings are definitely one of those things where patience pays off.
