Just realized I was training my image model on the wrong kind of data for months.

I was showing my friend in Austin a picture of a 'cat' my model made, and he said, 'That looks more like a weird raccoon,' which made me see all my training images were way too low-res and blurry.

Classic data science blunder.

See this everywhere with people trusting their fitness tracker data like gospel. My friend's watch said he burned 900 calories on a slow walk, so he ate a whole pizza. The scale didn't lie the next week.

Austin is a good place for a reality check. Garbage in, garbage out is the oldest rule in the book. At least you caught it before the project got bigger.
