Question about replacing tile versus LVP in a bathroom

I tried both approaches in my own bathroom last month in the North Valley. Went with ceramic tile for the shower and LVP for the floor, but the LVP is already showing some curling near the toilet after just three weeks. Tile cost me about $600 more for the whole project but it feels way more solid. Has anyone else had better luck with one or the other in this dry climate?
