Finally figured out my drywall mud was too thin after 4 rooms

Been mudding for ages and couldnt figure out why I kept getting bubbles and sagging. Turned out I was adding water straight from the hose in the driveway, always came out too runny. My buddy Dave from Rio Rancho watched me one afternoon and asked why my mix looked like pancake batter. Fixed it with a 5 gallon bucket and a drill mixer, now the seams look clean. Anyone else deal with overwatering their mud for months without realizing it?

...and here I was thinking I just had bad luck with the cheap premix stuff. Took me three bathrooms to realize I was basically painting the walls with soup. The drill mixer tip is the real game changer though, that alone fixed half my problems. Now I just eyeball the consistency, thick like mayo and it works every time. Bubbles and sagging are pretty much gone now, feels dumb looking back at all those wasted hours.
