inI keep seeing coworkers fall behind because they skip this one habit
Honestly though, when you say other fields, do you mean it's actually worse somewhere else? Like is tech changing faster or is it just more obvious here?

inAfter seeing buddies retire early from knee pain, I debate: gear vs. method.
Those German braces cost more than my rent. Hearing his cartilage turned to gravel is actually horrifying. All that money and the form was still wrecking his knees.

inHot take: I cleared out half my sock drawer and it's weirdly satisfying.
Totally get your point about the washer breaking, that's such a real worry! I actually read this short article about minimalist habits that said keeping too many "just in case" items creates more daily stress than it prevents. It said a small, curated set of backups is better than a huge pile of maybes. Ever since I read that, I pair what I can and keep like three solid spare pairs, not a drawer full of singles. It feels less chaotic and I still never run out.

inWarning: My wrists hurt so bad after a long install that I couldn't even hold a coffee cup.
Many people install flooring without any wrist trouble if they use the right methods. Taking short breaks and keeping your wrists loose helps a lot. @derek_bailey84's case sounds extreme, but most folks can avoid that with a bit of care.
