inChose aluminum over copper for a 200 foot feeder run in a barn conversion last year... everyone said I was nuts.
Honestly, it's not that crazy. Aluminum works fine for feeders if you do it right. You just have to torque the connections properly and use the right grease. People get stuck on copper like it's the only way, but the code allows aluminum for a reason. Saved a ton of money on that long of a run, right? Bet it's working just fine.

Fear sells. Sleep doesn't stop breaches.

inOkay, I just read that a single 5lb bag of potatoes can make over 15 meals for one person. That's like 30 cents a serving. I found it in a USDA cost breakdown from last year.
Honestly, I've found a lot of pride and good meals in making the cheap stuff work.

inUpdate: The bus driver's choice between a squirrel and a pothole
Oh man, that's rough! I'm totally with the driver on saving the squirrel, but you gotta commit to the swerve. A gentle swerve, not a pothole launch. Last year my driver did the same for a duck, but he just eased over a bit and tapped the horn. We barely felt it. It's all about the follow-through.

inMy neighbor in Springfield swears by her 'secret' pie crust recipe, but it's just the one from the back of the Crisco box.
My aunt's famous meatloaf was just the recipe on the back of the oatmeal box, lmao.
