Accidentally killed my venus flytrap with tap water, big mistake

I kept my venus flytrap in a south window here in Portland and it looked fine for about 2 months, then the leaves started browning from the tips. Turns out my tap water has around 85 ppm of minerals and these plants need pure rainwater or distilled water. I switched to collecting rain in a bucket last week and new traps are already forming, just wish I caught it sooner. Anyone else make this rookie mistake or did you know about the water thing from day one?

lmao I found out the hard way too, my tap water here is even worse, like 150 ppm. My flytrap looked like it was going through autumn. Rain bucket is the way, I got a cheap one at the hardware store and its been a game changer. The little traps are finally opening up green and not crispy.
