Rant: My stance on exterior terrazzo just shifted after the Springdale project...

I used to swear that terrazzo had no place outside, especially here with our harsh winters. But seeing the flawless condition of the park walkways we poured three years ago, with that special mix... it totally changed my perspective. Are more of you getting requests for outdoor installations, or is it still a niche thing?

Wow, read about ANCIENT Roman terrazzo lasting centuries outdoors!

Totally get that shift in perspective.

That perspective shift is crucial. I always test the ceiling by mixing methods that normally don't go together.

Seriously! My buddy is a painter and was stuck for months trying to make one style work. Then he randomly mixed oil paints with watercolors, which everyone says is a disaster, and it created this insane textured effect that became his whole new thing.

Mixed nail polish with watercolors once, @taylor.sean never lets me forget the smelly mess.

Wild how one project can flip the script! I was just telling @taylor.sean last year that some materials have a hard ceiling, but maybe I was too rigid.
