Rant: Plaid matching on a tailored jacket drove me crazy for days.

I spent hours trying to align the plaids on the sleeves and body of a wool jacket, but they always looked off. After several failed attempts, I realized I was cutting on folded fabric. I switched to cutting each piece from a single layer, marking match points with chalk, which solved the issue completely. How do you handle tricky pattern matching?

Once found a perfectly hidden moth hole in vintage tweed.

Ugh, @patriciam51, I feel your pain (been there!). I found that a tiny darn with matching thread worked wonders.

Matching thread never really blends in, @jason_henderson. Those moth holes are part of the fabric's story.
