That fancam of an idol straining their ankle mid-performance has me DEBATING: should choreo be less intense to prevent injuries, or does that dilute the ART? Your opinions?

The idea that less intense choreography "dilutes the art" sets up a false choice. Good choreography works with the performer's safety, not against it. You can have powerful, artistic staging that uses the whole group smartly, like having backup dancers take over while the main singer hits a big note. It's about smart design, not just lowering difficulty. Forcing a hurt performer to keep going doesn't make the art better, it just risks a worse injury.

My friend Jake pulled a muscle trying to keep up with insane choreography his team insisted on. @tessat99 is right that better planning, like using the group to cover tough spots, would have prevented it. He's doing better now with routines that are still impressive but way safer, don't you think?

Totally back @tessat99 on this. I mean, forcing dancers to push through pain just for show is messed up. Idk, maybe it's just me but good art should not come from someone getting hurt. Smart design, like using the group to cover tough parts, can still look amazing without risks. It's about being clever with the routine, not just making it hard. Seeing performers get injured for no good reason really bothers me.
