Little Wild Horse Canyon beats the big parks hands down
Skip the crowded spots. This Utah canyon has amazing rock shapes and total quiet (you'll thank me later).

Listen, @rowan658 is right about how moving through those slots feels. But what gets me is the quiet. In those tight spaces, all outside noise drops away, and you're left with just the sound of your own breath and the rock. It's like the canyon itself is telling you its story, slow and patient. That hush makes you realize how old everything is, way more than any sign or guidebook could, and turns a hike into something you feel in your bones.

Okay but nobody's talking about the actual walking part. Those super tight slots where you gotta turn sideways and scrape your arms on the walls? That's the coolest bit. It's not just looking at rocks, you're literally moving through the earth. Makes you feel the size and weight of everything in a way a big open vista never does. Changes the whole hike from a view to an experience.
