I finished a detailed model backhoe, but my coworkers don't see the point

They think it's just a toy, but building it helped me spot wear patterns I miss on real gear. It's made me a sharper operator overall.

Heard scale models train pilots too.

Aviation mechanics do the same thing with engine cutaways.

Yeah i used to think it was just a hobby too. That's actually a solid point about seeing how things work up close.
