Yeah a buddy's crew once nicked a line they thought was just telecom. Scared them straight for life lol. Really makes @the_linda's point about waitin' for markouts hit different.

Calling 811 before any digging is the bare minimum now. That near miss story is probably getting told at every morning crew briefing this week. It turns a rule in a handbook into a real, scary consequence. People start picturing that explosion, not just the fine, and they'll actually wait for the markouts.
