Sorting my spice rack at home clicked with how I group my perm solutions

I was organizing my kitchen spice rack over the weekend. It hit me that sorting spices by use is like how I should arrange my perm solutions by strength. Now at the salon, I've redone my cart so all the mild perms are together, and the strong ones are separate. It's cut down my mix-up time and made clients happier. Sometimes a simple home task can give you a fresh eye for work.

Wow, that's so true... I always just grabbed whatever bottle was closest. But grouping them by strength like you said totally makes sense. It stops me from accidentally using a strong perm on fine hair, which happened once... never again. Sorting by time like that other stylist mentioned would probably help me too, honestly.

Yeah, time sorting changes everything. @hugo_robinson25's point about processing time is spot on. It keeps you from messing up different hair types. I started grouping by strength first, then time, and it cuts out so many errors. Just a smarter way to work.

Read a piece in a trade mag about a stylist who did the same thing. She sorted her perm lotions by processing time instead of brand. Said it helped her keep track of timing for different hair types way better. Your spice rack idea is basically the same smart system.
